Interview with Jacqueline Fazzalari, L.Ac., owner of Nature Points Acupuncture

I had a chance to sit down with Jacqueline Fazzalari, owner of Nature Points Acupuncture, to discuss with her why she decided to open her wellness practice.

Q: When you think about your "perfect" patient, who is it that you are really trying to reach?
A: Professional women who would like to transform their health while enjoying a Manhattan-like experience right here in Queens.

Q: Specifically what information do you want to share with them?
A: Acupuncture can provide many options from which Western medicine may fall short.  Especially in the case of women's health, acupuncture and herbs can be extremely helpful.  Many women are unaware that uterine fibroids, cysts can be diminished with acupuncture and herbs.  Unfortunately, a lot of women think there are only two options available; the pill or an operation.  It is also quite helpful to relieve the symptoms of menopause and acupuncture greatly compliments IVF, too.  Acupuncture can be used on children.  They can benefit from the boost of their immune system rather than just waiting for them to get sick.

We want to respond to any questions and concerns with both compassion and facts.   There have been medical studies conducted to validate the effectiveness of TCM.  Many fertility patients are struggling and hear cold hard facts and at times treated as a product, not as a human being whose dream is to become a mother.   The beauty (among so many) of TCM is both the psyche and soma are validated. There is no separation of body and mind.

Traditional Chinese medicine goes back to 3,000 years.  It is a proven medical procedure that works.
